Ilkie is gone now

Ilkie - my friend and Pam's guide dog!

Ilkie had a very good day yesterday, Pam said. She just ran and ran and ran all over the yard. So happy she was. Then today when she woke up… it was time to go to the vet’s for the last time. Ilkie worked right up to the last five minutes of her life. She was the best guide dog ever, I think. Pam said she went very quickly. Her last two days were really happy for her.

But Pam and I will really miss her. She was a very special dog.
